Two iconic musicians from opposite sides of the pond, representing London and New York clashed at Band on the Wall on its opening weekend. Huey all the way from New York, Don straight from London, together in Manchester they certainly made a night to remember. Taking us on a journey between punk, soul, funk, reggae and rock’n’roll, the pair truly didn’t hesitate to give it all they’ve got.
The night was met with great reception not just from audience members, but other artists alike. New York versus London, right in the heart of what many consider the music capital of the UK – Manchester. A one of a kind, unforgettable clash between two legends.

Taking place right after Don’s sold out Rebel Dread film premiere at the Manchester HOME cinema, the event felt like the perfect celebration for such a milestone. Just like Rebel Dread, the duo’s performance was clearly inspired by their combined love for music and art which truly made it a one of a kind of sight to see. We look forward to what these two do in the future, and suggest you keep your eyes (and ears!) peeled too.
